Compliance
At GARO Group, we take responsibility for ensuring that our products, operations and partnerships meet the standards of safety, sustainability and ethics throughout their life cycle.
Compliance is a cornerstone of our contribution to the electrification of society - and an essential part of how we build trust with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
We work continuously to ensure full alignment with European and international legislation, including:
- REACH (Regulation EC 1907/2006) - Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals
- RoHS (Directive 2011/65/EU) - Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment
- WFD (Directive 2008/98/EC) - Waste Framework Directive, including reporting to the ECHA SCIP Database
- POPs (Regulation (EU) 2019/1021) - Persistent Organic Pollutants
- PFAS-related regulations - in alignment with upcoming EU restrictions under REACH and ESPR
- EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542) - Circularity, carbon footprint and digital product passport requirements
Through close collaboration with our suppliers, we maintain traceability of materials and substances of concern and ensure that updates to the SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) list are continuously monitored and integrated into our compliance procedures.
In parallel, GARO is strengthening product transparency through Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), ensuring that each step in the value chain contributes to sustainable development and responsible resource use.
